Vintage Australia - Here & now

Live the folklore and romance of yesterday’s Australia in every piece of the collections at Herberton Historic Village, an outdoor museum of pioneer history.

Sit in the schoolhouse. Stand at the bar of the pub. Enjoy a latte or lunch at the Bakerville Tearooms (don't miss our homemade pies and yummy local icecreams!)

Herberton Historic Village is more than a vintage precinct – it’s a tangible buzz of things past.

The collection currently features over 50 original buildings with intact interior displays, original machinery and vehicles, plus thousands of antique items and period memorabilia. It is regarded as the most significant ever assembled in Queensland. You can spend an entire day here absorbing it all - many people do! Plan on relaxing and taking your time - just like people did in the olden days. Herberton Historic Village is located just outside the township of Herberton high on the Atherton Tablelands, about 90 minutes drive from Cairns. Bring your camera, and we’re pet friendly!

Open daily 9am - 5:00pm (Closed Christmas Day) - Last entry 3.30pm.
