Vintage Australia Here & Now

Live the folklore and romance of yesterday's Australia in every piece of the eye-opening collection at Herberton Historic Village.

Sit in the schoolhouse. Stand at the bar of the pub. Herberton Historic Village is more than a vintage precinct — it's a tangible buzz of things past.

The collection currently features over 40 original buildings with intact interior displays, original machinery and vehicles, plus thousands of antique items and period memorabilia. It is regarded as the most significant ever assembled in Queensland.

In January 2010, Herberton Historic Village was recognised by the Tablelands Regional Council in the Australia Day Awards, winning the category of Development of Commerce and Industry.

Take in all the history of Herberton's past in the new book by Glenville Pike, "Herberton — Town of the Pioneers", which is available onsite in the gift store.  A traveller's guidebook to the Village is also an invaluable source of information about this fascinating project.
